Disney World / Disney Magic, HERE WE COME!
My DIRTY THIRTY travel plans are in the works! What better place to celebrate a milestone birthday than at a Disney destination?!We're going to start off our trip in Orlando. One of the hardest parts about planning a Disney World trip is deciding where to stay! There are so many wonderful resorts to choose from. We stayed at both Animal Kingdom Lodges (Kidani Village and Jambo) and would like to see what all of the other resorts offer. I think we've finally decided on staying at Disney's BoardWalk Villas for the first leg of our trip. I'm pretty excited since it's within walking distance of Epcot. We plan to arrive at Disney World on a Saturday and then enjoy Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom over the next few days. We currently don't plan to visit Hollywood Studios... We were less than impressed when we went last year, plus many attractions are currently closed. It felt like Disney's California Adventure, except it is not as amazing. I'm sure that when the Star Wars and Toy Story lands open it'll be a great park to visit.
On Wednesday we'll drive to Miami to board the Disney Magic! I'm so excited because this will complete something off of our Disney Bucket List - Sail on all of the Disney Cruise ships. We booked this cruise while we were on our last cruise, so we saved 10% off and we will also receive $100 onboard credit. I was a little bummed that we won't be embarking from Port Canaveral, but it makes sense to embark from Miami... Port Canaveral already docks the Disney Fantasy and the Disney Dream. This will be a 4 night sailing and we'll have one full sea day, a day at Key West, and a day at Castaway Cay. I enjoyed my west coast sailing last month aboard the Disney Wonder, but I look forward to the warmer weather of the Bahamas and Caribbean!
We plan to drive back to Disney World once we arrive in Miami. We plan to stay at the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge for a couple of nights. We'll be able to relax and get some shopping in at Disney Springs. We'll also be able to get some shopping in at various shopping centers (aka both premium outlet malls near Disney World!), including IKEA! *WOOT WOOT* Hehe.
I can't wait we're already midway through 2016, January will be here in no time.
